Tax Credit for Chess

The state of Arizona will allow you to deduct up to $400 directly off your tax liability if you donate to one of the Scholastic Chess Clubs.

This is a tax Credit not just a deduction - money donated comes directly off your tax liability to the state.

For example if you owed $400 to the state for the 2011 tax year but you made a $400 donation to one of the chess clubs, you would now owe $0 on your taxes!!

Arizona State Tax Credits for schools are up to $400 for married filing jointly and $200 for single.

Make checks out to the local school, either Killip Elementary School or Sinagua Middle School.

Please include a note saying it is for the school chess club

Tax credits postmarked by Dec 31 are accepted for that tax year.
100% of proceeds will go to directly to benefit students!!

The school will mail you a receipt for your taxes.
